My day started visiting “ Bishop Museum” the building is beautiful but I spent 2 1/2 hours watching the display and the artifacts reading the history of the islands. After I took a long walk to a CVS pharmacy. The evening got better when Carolyn and I went to Waikiki for dinner. The cocktail, wine and food along with the company made for a great evening.
The program on the ship are great something for everybody. Yesterday I took the tour called “ behind the scenes “ having a background in food and beverage it would be enlightening and it was. The Hotel General Manager has to deal with local law and fixing problems with food that was ordered but was no show on the dock, very interesting.
Today is our 3rd day at sea it’s been very enjoyable, we had some nice lectures and evening show. Also I’ve been pretty good for the last two mornings getting up at 6 am and joined the crew and fellow guests in walks a mile, I stayed on and walked 2 miles yesterday and 3 miles today. Good exercise on the 8 decks fighting the wind and the rolling of the ship.
Today I visited the beautiful town of Santa Barbara. A sunny cool morning to start but it got to the 60 in later morning. Our guide was excellent we saw the Mission, the historic church and the Courthouse, all those buildings were magnificent.
