Known as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea” Cochin is a bustling port for more than a 1000 years. Again the Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese and British influence the cityscape. Been here many years ago my excursion took me to the Backwater of Kerala’s on a very VERY hot day, but our moving boat give us a little breeze. Our buffet lunch in a cool restaurant was very good.
That food and that landscape appear to bring lots of heat. I love hot Indian food.
Cruising on the river and seeing the way people live I realized how spoiled we are in the State. But you see people smiling and in general through all the places we’ve been they seem very happy.
