Porto holds a place of great traditional importance . The town lends its name to the port wine produce in the region and throughout the nation. Our excursion took us to Coimbra home of the first university founded in Lisbon in 1290 and relocated to Coimbra in 1537. We also visit Aviero call “Venice of Portugal” for its canal. Fishing villages who lined the Atlantic are catching lots of Cod and itinerary of the main dishes in local restaurants.
Looks amazing-we’re only just back from Portugal-not the historical parts but The Algarve-golfing of course. Think the Portuguese people are just the nicest and love the way they cook.
I so much want to visit Portugal. Maybe soon.
Yes we had so many nice port, but it’s coming to an end in 4 days. Today we are in St Malo, France, it is the Oyster capital of Brittany and that’s my excursion for today, indulging in oysters and Champagne. Live is good. Hope to see you one of these days. Yvon
